Hear 'em singing 'Happy Birthday' Better think about the wish I make. This year gone byAin't no piece of cake. - Jimmy Buffett

So it was my birthday weekend. I started it off with some gifts from my students - a very oddly made calendar, but only contained the months of November and December from 2004, a bag of chocolate gold coins, a stuffed dog and an actually nice purple party lites candle.

I then went shopping and bought some new pants. Came home, got ready with Betsy and Tuppy and headed over to Money Penny's. That was fun. I stayed until about 11:30 then headed home. I had to get my rest for the BON JOVI concert compliments of my mom and Alan.

Sat. morning, Betsy brought me a Latte from Starbuck's and a piece of blueberry coffee cake. She gave me a gift card to Starbuck's and make up from Estee Lauder. I love it!!!!

We then got ready to head downtown for some margaritas and food. Carmen and Late Night joined us. We stuffed ourselves and headed over to the concert. We had great seats. Before the concert started you could send text messages to a number and they would post on the screen. That was cool.

Then HE came out. God, he is still sooooooooooooooo cute. It was soooo much fun. Here is a pretty bad picture from the concert...

After the concert we went to Douchberg and F Em Dano's party. Stayed there until about 3:30am and then had Kane drive us home.

Today, spent most of the day just being lazy. Wasn't hungover, just tired.

Overall, it was a great birthday. Now onto Christmas.

You Know When You Just Need To Take a Break?

Doesn't make you a bad person, its just a personal need to take a break from something. I have decided to take a break for the every weekend partying thing. So the past two weekends, I have gone out on dates with a guy who lives in HAGERSTOWN. Yes, Hagerstown. He's nice - 38, but doesn't look or act it, is a fellow teacher and owns a beautiful house. We went to the bookstore, out to dinner, watched movies, cooked dinner, picked out light fixtures and went to the movies. No drinking involved. It was nice. Not sure anything will come of this, but its fun.

I bought a 9ft. artificial Christmas tree off of Ebay 2 weeks ago. It was for local pick up only, so I drove to Germantown to get it. I paid $45 for it - originally $250. Good deal - except it was just too big for the living room. So I tried reselling it on Craigs List, but no takers. So, I thought and I thought. I finally decided to try putting up just half of the tree. It worked. It looks nice too if I say so myself.

I like putting the tree up every year, because all of my ornaments are from places I have been.

For example:

Surfing Santa from my trip to Hawaii to visit Betsy.

The Christmas Armadillo from when I went to San Antonio for my friend Matt's wedding.

The skis from Mt. Tremblant ski weekend trip.

This from Mamma Mia in Buffalo with my mom, sisters and sister in law.

The Australia Christmas Nut - for my trip to Sydney for my best friend's wedding.

Well, back to work tomorrow for the last week of my life as a 31 year old. Bon Jovi and 32nd bday on Sat. Wooohoooo!!!
